In June of this year several members from our club will be traveling to the International Convention in Atlanta, which runs June 10-14. There's still time to register if you are interested in attending!
During the convention, Rotarian John Richardson will be presenting the SOUNS Reading Program along with Rotarian Brenda Ericson from the Peachtree City Club in Georgia. This is a global grant that is now in process of collecting participants from other clubs, plus local volunteers.
Several from our club have asked me about this project, and expressed interest in attending one of the training sessions. Now is your chance!
Brenda will be here in Puerto Rico next week to provide training at different schools in Puerto Rico, beginning on Tuesday the 28th. Interested Rotarians may accompany Brenda to one or more trainings, and find out firsthand how it works. We also need volunteers who can help Brenda get to and from the training sites.
Please contact John Richardson (787) 630-4341 for more schedule information.
