Chili-Sancocho Cook Off a Delicious Event

Our Chili Sancocho Cook Off fundraiser, held this past Sunday at the YWCA in Miramar, was well attended by SJ Rotarians, District Rotarians and the public. 

           Winners in the Chili Category were:  1st Place- Commonwealth Parkville School Interact Club; 2nd Place - Caribbean Barbeque Association; 3rd Place - WOSO/Sherman Wildman. 

    In the Sancocho Category:  1st Place - the Rio Piedras Rotary Club; 2nd Place- Denery; 3rd Place- Caribbean Barbeque Association.

            Other teams with great entries included: Famous Dave's Restaurant, Troy Fields, Scotiabank, Rotaract Club of IAU Metro Campus, and Jorge Gonzalez.

            Prizes were: $100 for 1st Place; $75 for 2nd Place; $50 for 3rd Place.

            Kudos go to the Cook-Off Committee headed by Club VP, Raymond Erb.
