President Jennifer began her induction speech acknowledging that in stepping up as Club President, she is embarking on a year of challenges but intends to do the best she can.
Those new to Rotary should note that polio is nearly eradicated and thousands of other projects around the world have improved lives: providing clean water, vaccinations, scholarships, libraries.......you can find more at rotary.org
Jennifer will be working closely with District Governor Sylvia Maisonet as well as Area 1 Assistant Governor Jimmy Gonzalez. She thanked outgoing President Ray for the tremendous progress in working with the youth of Puerto Rico.
Two major fundraisers will be the Thanksgiving Auction and the Chili and Sancocho Cookoff which should provide at least $8000 for Ken to spend on Service Projects.
Hector Gaitan has done well this year by increasing our "Paul Harris Fellows".
Jennifer embraces Rotary International President, John Germ's motto for this Rotary Year, "Rotary Serving Humanity," and looks forward to fellow-Rotarians committing to help in this endeavor.
