Guest speaker Antonio Sisco, State Coordinator for Health Information Technology and the Executive Director with the Puerto Rico Health Information Network, has been focusing on complying with meaningful use, adoption rate and lowering the costs of healthcare by increasing the exchange of electronic, secure and standardized patient health information to improve care transitions under the HITEC Act. His audio presentation showed the health operational improvement process from Primary Care to Specialist, to Laboratory, Hospital and Pharmacy management. Thanks to fellow-Rotarian Jorge Socca for bringing us this most interesting program.
