Happy Holidays!
Please accept my best wishes for you and your family and friends over this holiday season.
We look forward to the second half of the Rotary year with anticipation of good things to come.
1. We have restructured how we manage club finances, so that all members will only be invoiced for the luncheons that they attend. In order to balance out the resulting shortfall for covering club expenses, we increased the dues by $25 per quarter for everybody. The quarterly dues are now $125
(which includes $25 toward your next Paul Harris recognition)
, plus the luncheons that you attend (billed at $24.33 each). This change will help those members who travel often or who simply cannot attend each week.
2. We are working on forming a new satellite club for younger members. As soon as there are eight people interested, they can become members of our club, yet meet on their own and set their own rules for how often they meet, and what should their dues be. We will meet in January to begin the outreach for this new group.
3. Our regular meeting scheduled for January 31 will be moved to February 4 in Ponce, where we will celebrate 100 years of The Rotary Foundation with John Germ, President of Rotary International.
To all current members, friends and former members, I look forward to seeing you on any or all Tuesdays in 2017! All are welcome.
Peace and Love,
Jennifer
