LAST WEEK

Rotarians and their guests and members of the community turned out to hear our Secretary of State, Luis Rivera Marin, express his administration's appreciation for the Federal government's active participation in the natural catastrophe that descended on our island. He emphasized  three major points (1) Importance of including Puerto Rico in Tax Reform (2) Jobs on our island are American jobs (3) We must be included in health issues.  He noted that our Representative in Congress, Jenniffer Gonzalez is working to be sure that Promesa looks for economic development in an orderly manner. Secretary Rivera Marin feels that the recovery process will build a more efficient infrastructure. Our speaker holds degrees from the U of Massachusetts, a Master's from NYU and
a Juris Doctor from the UPR School of Law. Thanks go to Sherman Wildman for bringing us Secretary Rivera Marin.
