President Jennifer Bates Message
Bills Bills Bills!

Hello Rotarians and Friends,

As you know, our club invoices members quarterly for dues.

Since January, we have stopped charging for ALL luncheons, instead we now only pay for luncheons that we attend.

This new reduction has been met with enthusiasm, making it easier for everyone.

Because of this new procedure, it is more important than ever to put your quarterly Rotary invoice at the top of your pile of bills to pay.

Our operating budget depends on your timely payment.

Thank you very much for cooperating, as I hope to turn the next Presidency over to Ken with our numbers in the black.

See you soon,

Jennifer

LAST WEEK

Rotary Past President Dr. Norman Maldonado together with Attorney Andres Cordova, gave a comprehensive report on the President’s Task Force on Puerto Rico's Status.  The project began as a request in 1989 from Senator Bennett Johnson, followed by the 1993 Plebiscite.  There was a second plebiscite in 1998 and a Referendum in 2012.  Now, with the June 11 Plebiscite, Puerto Rico will have another opportunity to express its opinion.  Our speakers stressed the importance of exercising your right to vote on this important occasion
