President Jennifer Bates spoke on the accomplishments achieved during her year, with the assistance of her Board as well as committee chairs. The two major fundraisers (Thanksgiving Auction and Chili & Sancocho Cookoff) brought in the funds to make the events successful. It was a year that saw Rotary International President, John Germ, visit Puerto Rico. Our membership has held steady with our club just shy of 100% of San Juan Rotarians becoming Paul Harris Fellows. A major attainment indeed. Jennifer touched on our District's well attended recent Rotary International Convention in Atlanta, more of which you will be hearing about from President Ken McGrath. As Jennifer joined the distinguished class of Past Presidents, she received a standing ovation.
