“During the year we will be trying to schedule interesting speakers from different backgrounds and interests. The past two weeks we were treated to hearing two exceptionally talented and interesting young speakers who each laid out their optimistic views of the future. The both stressed that tremendous opportunities will be available for those willing to devote their time, effort and talents to develop their dreams in Puerto Rico.”
A MEMORIAL SERVICE for Rotarian Louis Petit will be held at the Union Church of San Juan in Punta Las Marias on Monday, August 28, at 6:30 PM. All are invited to attend to honor our former Rotarian and noted community leader.
Architect Ricardo Alvarez-Diaz, founder and principal of the leading architectural and interior design firm in San Juan with offices in Miami, studied in Italy and the U.S. where he received his degree from Notre Dame U. Surrounding oneself with positive people is paramount to improving Puerto Rico. Our speaker gave a detailed overview of how we got to where we are now. His enthusiasm was contagious and made for an informative Q&A session with Rotarians and their guests.
Thanks go to Program Chairman, Warwick Butler, for bringing this dynamic speaker to the Club.
