President Kenneth McGrath Message
After much internal discussion our club has decided to go forward with the Thanksgiving Day Lunch to be held on the morning of Thanksgiving at La Concha Hotel.  This represents the 30th year that we have sponsored this activity which will provide lunch and entertainment to over 500 needy children from the greater San Juan communities.  As in past years, the expenses of the lunch are entirely paid for through the generosity of our club members.  This year Rotarian Edwin Aquino is in charge of organizing the activity.  I ask that you donate what you can to support the Thanksgiving Day lunch, especially now when so many people have been affected by Hurricane Maria and have limited access to hot food.  Just contact Pat who will add your donation to the monthly bill.  Thank you for your support.

OCTOBER QUARTERLY INVOICES
Were sent by email and/or US Postal Service.  The post office is experiencing delays in delivery ever since it suspended service for two weeks after Hurricane Maria.  If you have not already received your invoice, it will soon be there.  A second invoice will be sent upon request.
LAST WEEK

Having just returned from a week's intensive training in Orlando, District Governor Elect Juanita Morris gave an overview of what her duties will entail in her year as Governor of our District 7000.  We learned that selecting the District Governors follows the same procedure as selecting the President of Rotary International.  A fair and democratic process.  Our club will be celebrating its 100th Anniversary in 2018. Two reasons to celebrate a banner year!
