Projects!

The time has arrived when club members will submit and pitch community service projects which will be carried out in the coming Rotary year, if they win the votes.

We have $10,000 to spend!

Do you have an idea for a worthwhile local project? Think about it and submit the project to me or to Ken McGrath.

See you soon,

LAST WEEK

This Tuesday we turned to our own membership for our guest speaker.  Past President Sherman Wildman, a graduate of Northwestern U, has been a disk jockey, announcer with CBS Radio & TV and WAPA TV in San Juan, and probably best known for his 20 some years with WOSO Radio in San Juan.
He entitled his talk, "The First Seven Seconds Rule" - which basically states that when two people meet for the first time, the decision to like or not is made.
This all began with an informal study at Harvard. It fits well with today's culture, where the average attention span is only 8 seconds! Sherman gave some 20 ways to influence the first seven seconds, including strong hand shake, body language, eye contact, speaking clearly and overall appearance. You have only 7-seconds to prove that you are: likeable, confident and trustworthy!
