On Tuesday we will be honored with the official visit of our District Governor, Gerry Cumpiano. We will like to have a group picture for this historic moment and ask that you all wear your Paul Harris medallion or pins to show our support to the Foundation and Polio Plus. DG Gerry Cumpiano will be accompanied by Area One DGA Luis Torres. Let’s show our support to one of our own who represents RI in Puerto Rico by making an effort to come the meeting. This past Tuesday, we welcomed Rowan St. Clair, founder of Tu Arte, a nonprofit organization bringing people together through creative expression. Rooted in community, Tu Arte brings art classes to schools, plazas, and public spaces throughout Puerto Rico, connecting participants with local and international talent. Rowan shared how the organization creates opportunities for artists to teach, grow, and lead, with meaningful work reaching older adults and children in schools.
It was a pleasure to learn how Tu Arte is helping people discover their creativity and connect with others. Rowan also invited us to support this work through volunteering, sponsorships, or donations of art materials—several ways our members can become involved. We thank Rowan for sharing your vision and showing us how art can open doors to learning, connection, and belonging.
Please remember to join us next Tuesday via Zoom for our Rotary business meeting. I invite all members to attend, hear updates on our current work, and discuss ideas for upcoming activities and projects. Your participation helps shape what we do together, and I look forward to seeing you there!
