Honoring Our Roots, Embracing the Future
117 Years of Service & Fellowship
Dear Rotarians,
At this week’s meeting, we came together to reflect, propose, and plan for the continued vibrancy of our Club. As the longest-standing Rotary Club in Puerto Rico, we recognize that networking and service were the founding pillars that gave our Club purpose and strength—and they remain just as important today.
Proposed New Monthly Meeting Format
We introduced a revised structure to bring greater engagement, flexibility, and accessibility for all members:
- 1st Tuesday: Lunch at AFDA with Guest Speaker
- 2nd Tuesday: Social Night
- 3rd Tuesday: Breakfast Meeting
- 4th Tuesday: Zoom Meeting with Guest Speaker at Noon
The feedback was encouraging, and we will continue to adjust the format based on member participation and interest. We’ll adopt this structure for the next three months and revisit it afterward to assess its effectiveness.
Member Input – Strengthening Our Club
We facilitated a rich discussion focused on three key areas:
- Meeting Structure
- Target Population
- Membership Growth:
- Focus on recruiting good speakers
- Reconnect with past members
- Highlight both the service and networking value of Rotary
As we look ahead, let’s stay rooted in what has always made this Club special: the strength of our relationships and our commitment to serve.
Yours in Rotary,
Enid Marie Reyes
