"How travel broadens your mind" was the topic of Hanna Jousala, a Universidad del Este Rotary Exchange Student from Finland, who told of her experiences while visiting 35 countries. Hanna has studied seven languages, speaking four fluently, and will graduate next year with a degree in Aviation Management, She has been accepted in the leading aviation school, the International University of Applied Sciences in Bonn, Germany. In 2006, Hanna participated in an exchange program in Owosso, Michigan to perfect her English skills. She has also lived in Columbia, Turkey, Thailand and Cyprus working as a tour guide. How to adapt to and not to expect things to be like back home, opens your eyes to appreciate other cultures even when out of your comfort zone. We thank our new Rotarian, Jillian Carmichael, for bringing us this interesting speaker.
Major Jorge L. Marzan, Divisional Commander of The Salvation Army was inducted into the Club on Tuesday. He was sponsored by Past President Enrique Sigas. Jorge immediately signed up to participate in the Invocation and Attendance Committees.
