On Tuesday we will meet at Escuela Vila Mayo in Rio Piedras at 5:30PM for our monthly fellowship gathering. Join us for wine, networking, and site visit to the club's newest service project being launched this fall and in need of volunteers. An invitation has been issued through ClubRunner and Facebook to all members and the general community. There will be no charge for this activity. Do car pooling, and call to help members that would like to come but need a ride. Please invite possible candidates for membership, family and friends to this activity. This is a great opportunity to see Rotary in action!
A Bordo del Normandie: Insights with Roxana Matienzo Carrión
This Week’s Meeting Recap We had a wonderful session with author Roxana Matienzo Carrión, whose book “A Bordo del Normandie” gave us deep insight into the life of Don Felipe and the fascinating characters who shaped this story. Special thanks to Past President Jorge González for moderating such an engaging conversation. We also celebrated the induction of our newest member, Sylvia Fernández, who will serve as our Director of Social Media.
Looking Ahead Next week, join us for our Monthly Social Gathering at the historic Edificio Hawthorne (Escuela Secundaria Ramón Vila Mayo) in Río Piedras. Step into history at Puerto Rico’s first U.S.-built public school (1904), enjoy good company, and hear more about our club’s new service project launching this fall at Escuela Vila Mayo.
