On Monday, instead of our Tuesday meeting, we celebrated St. Patrick’s Day with the other District 7000 Area# 1 Clubs (Bayamon, Carolina, E-Club, Rio Piedras and Santurce) at Ocean Lab in San Patricio Plaza for fellowship, networking and fun while at the same time raising funds for three worthy causes – Hogar Buen Pastor, Fundación Stefano, and educational assistance to Dahianira Camacho for her doctoral studies at the University of Chile.  Ocean Lab contributed two drinks, appetizers and 20% discount on any additional consumption. We raised approximately $2,600 to be divided among these three causes.  We therefore met the expectations of the “St. Patrick’s Day Celebration for a Cause.” Those who were not able to attend missed a great event which we hope to repeat next year
