Dear Rotarians,
Next week at AFDA club and we will get to learn how to write our story and get it published. Most of you have had a very rich professional and private life and it would be wonderful to leave your memoirs printed for family and friends. The director of ZOOMideal will be our speaker and it promises to be a very engaging presentation. This speaker was introduced by Dr. Sylvia Fernandez Colorado, a soon to be Rotary member. Please feel free to invite family and friends who always wondered how to tell their family or personal stories.
Last week District 7000 celebrated a gala to honor our Paul Harris Fellows recipients. The following members of our club received an award: Alexander Krell, Glen Garayalde, Rafael Rodriguez, Jean Cornelius, Maria de Los Angeles Rivera, Patricia Schneider, Raymond Erb, and Robert C. Bolt. Let's congratulate these awardees and see them receive their pins on Tuesday's meeting. Their contribution to the Foundation helps make a difference in the world and creates the Magic of Rotary!!!
Brad Krishanamurthy, a Senior Principal Logic Engineer at Ampere Computing and a volunteer with the international organization The Art of Living, conducted an online breathing and meditation session to demonstrate its positive effects. He explained that these techniques have been used to assist over 800,000 prisoners and prison agents in managing anxiety, depression, and anger. The exercise session provided only a glimpse of what the SKY program entails. This program has been successful in schools and for at-risk youth, offering practical tools to heal trauma and promote inner peace.
