Dear Rotarians,
We had a wonderful fellowship at Barrachina with William Mevs! It was great to see John Ferrandino who came all the way from Mayaguez to be with us as well as Maria de Los Angeles and her husband. We have two important events coming up which are “Share your groceries” to provide food for the needy during Thanksgiving and our traditional Thanksgiving luncheon with Boys and Girls club members. We look forward to having as many volunteers as possible in both events
"San Juan Rotarian William Mevs, ex San Juan Rotarian John Richardson, and prospective Rotarians architects Andy and Karen Rivera will share their Old San Juan stories - the opportunities and challenges. The dialogue will be moderated by Jorge Gonzalez. On the third Tuesday of the month we are experimenting with meetings that are Rotarian led in a dialogue, round table format. This is an excellent opportunity to invite prospective members that have an interest in Old San Juan."

Last Tuesday evening, our club enjoyed a wonderful social at Barrachina in Old San Juan. We were warmly welcomed by fellow Rotarian William Mevs, owner of the iconic restaurant, who graciously shared with us the history of Barrachina and the story of how it came to be. We also learned about its proud legacy as the birthplace of the piña colada, adding a special touch to an already memorable gathering. A total of 18 members, including visitors, joined us for an evening filled with fellowship, lively conversation, and a true sense of Rotary community.
As we continue strengthening our bonds and growing together in service, we remind everyone that next Tuesday our meeting will be held at AFDA at 12:00 PM. We look forward to seeing you there for another meaningful week of Rotary engagement.
