Dear Rotarians, > Our next meeting will be July 8th at Buen Pastor organization in Puerta de Tierra at noon. It is across the street from San Agustin school and church, avenida de la constitución. There will be no meeting at AFDA Club next week nor the 3rd of July. Our club will have a good delegation at Rotary International convention in Calgary this year. Representing the club will be Jorge Gonzalez, Gerry Cumpiano, Betsy Parker, Jose “Pepito” Rivero, and Juanita V. Morris. Have a wonderful 4th of July celebration!🎇🎆 > Yours in Rotary,
Last Tuesday’s speaker, attorney Luis Dávila Pernas, was the Executive Director of the Puerto Rico Federal Affairs Office in Washington, D.C. and is the Chairman of the Puerto Rico Democratic Party. His presentation emphasized the importance of our being involved in what is happening at the Federal level, giving numerous examples of how we receive substantially lower benefits in various federal programs. He addressed numerous questions during and after his presentation indicative of the importance of this topic to Puerto Rico.
