HELLO AGAIN

Our once a month get acquainted speaker was Past President (2003-2004) Sherman Wildman.  A native son of Missouri, he began by thanking his sponsor, Charles Elias, for introducing him to Rotary.  Sherman is particularly proud of our club’s Libraries for Literacy project that saw eight new libraries established island-wide.  Australia was the site of the Rotary
International Convention in his presidential year and was a most enjoyable and interesting experience in travel as well as in Rotary.  His career has been in communications with radio broadcasting as a hightlight.  Sherman is presently the club’s Speaker/Program Committee Chairman - a position he is right at home in.

CONGRATULATIONS
TO Director Denis Vaz, recently promoted to President and CEO of Scotiabank de Puerto Rico.

LAST WEEK

At his final meeting as President of San Juan Rotary, Ray Erb summarized the goals that were achieved this year, including maintaining a stable membership, streamlining operations (in particular with the sale of the office in Old San Juan), and our Community Service Projects with a focus on youth. He gave special thanks to Program/Speaker Chairman, Sherman Wildman, for his successful efforts to provide interesting speakers. Ray thanked his Board of Directors who were rewarded with very nice gift baskets, as you can tell by their smiling faces in the photo.
