Casa Providencia Receives New Cooking Equipment through Matching Grant
As part of our matching
grants project with District 5280, a commercial refrigerator, a commercial
oven, and a commercial mixer were delivered for the Sabores de la Casa cooking project
at Casa Providencia in old San Juan, a program for troubled women. The mixer
weighed 400 pounds! After removing a
door, the equipment fit in the building and now we are awaiting the delivery of
the forms, baking pans, and other miscellaneous items. Soon the disadvantaged women
of Casa Providencia will be baking away!
