The inauguration ceremony of Rotary Week at Plaza was everything President Marcos and the Rotary Week Committee hoped for—and more. The opening of the weeklong event that serves as both a fundraiser for the Club and excellent exposure for Rotary will clearly be remembered as a success judging by the fanfare of its ribbon-cutting day. A host of dignitaries from Secretary of State Kenneth McClintock to Senator Lucy Arce and General Hector Sorrentini came out to take the stage along with Rotary and military leader in support of the event dedicated to Puerto Rico Veterans of war. The Army Band played and the crowd beamed as San Juan Rotary kicked off what is expected to be an annual community tradition. More than 15 local businesses have rallied behind Rotary’s mission as sponsors to make this a worthwhile fundraiser. We ask that all Rotarians visit the exhibit this week to show gratitude to those supporting sponsors.

Congratulations President Marcos, Committee Chair PP Bucky Tervo, and all those Rotarians who worked tirelessly to make this event a success!

A photo album from the opening ceremony will be available on our web page beginning monday 4/30-be sure to take a look...
