We had the pleasure of participating at the Rotary Convention in Houston. It was a great experience. I recommend to all of you to participate in next year's convention which will be in Australia. It is a great opportunity to enjoy and get to know many Rotarians from all over the World. You will live the spirit of what Rotarians are all about.
As I told you before, our 7000 District Conference is set for Saturday, 25th of June of this year. It includes breakfast, lunch, dinner and two coffee breaks. We need as many of you as possible, please join us, you will really enjoy it. It is important that our club has an important presence. We are the host club.
We will also enjoy a special event for Rotarians and Friends on Friday, 24th night. We will be tasting some wines from Mallorca, Spain, and pair them with some great tapas and appetizers. The cost will be $60.00 for those attending the conference on the 25th. and $70.00 for others.

CONGRATULATIONS to Club Administration Director, Carmen Hammel, who received her 3rd Paul Harris Award at Tuesday's meeting. This charitable fundraising activity finances Rotary International's worldwide projects.
This Tuesday, June 21, we will recognize Rotarians who were born in June. The Club invites Hector Gaitan, Juanita Morris Valentin, Julio Soto, Salvatore Nolfo, and Ramon Barquin, to sit at the Reserved Birthday Table and enjoy a glass of fine wine, compliments of their fellow-Rotarians.
Club Membership Chairman, Lance Brilliantine, gave a well-received presentation with the title "A Not So Modest Proposal", centered on the why and how we must attract and bring in new Rotarians. He touched on our meeting format, invited speakers, projects to help our community, and updating our technological equipment, which needs improving. Lance suggested reducing the number of meetings and have one evening meeting per month. In hybrid style (Virtual & in-Person). He asked that each Rotarians bring in two new members. There was a lot of feedback from the attentive audience. Lance is a retired partner from Deloitte Consulting. While there, he led the NY leadership development practice... He has significant global experience in organizational change and/or build businesses. He lived in Mexico City for three years where he built the firm's Human Capital practice. He was a 35-year devoted visitor to Puerto Rico and now has been a resident for the last three years. This modest proposal certainly generated considerable interest!
A graduate of NYU with a master’s degree in Inter-related Arts/Aesthetics.
