Guest speaker, Arturo J. Guzman, marketing, and international development consultant, directed professional in over forty countries and territories. Holder of numerous executive positions in the Republican Party, he served as advisor to the White House during the Reagan and Bush years Born in Havana, Cuba, he, and his family moved to the US in 1960 as political exiles, and he shortly thereafter became a US citizen.
Cuba 2021: Going Back to the Future, was the title of his talk. He focused on the recent protests in Cuba, where the overwhelmingly young people clearly reject the political, social, and economic conditions and restrictions imposed by the dictatorship In order to survive politically,
the regime must make massive changes and go back to a future that reinstates at least a capitalistic economic system much like China and Viet Nam have had to implement.
