Dear Rotarians,
Firstly, I would like to acknowledge the club members who took part in the International Day of Peace: Gerry Cumpiano, Annie Evans, Robert Bolt, Georgie Hildebrand, Michelle Crespo, Felix Rivera, Awilda Leduc, Jorge Gonzalez, and Juanita Morris. Jorge and his team performed an outstanding job in organizing this event, which was featured on television news. We encourage everyone to visit the San Juan Rotary website (www.sanjuanrotary.org) to view all the photos and a segment of the news broadcast.
Next week, we are privileged to welcome our former president, Antonio Colorado, who will discuss the Caribbean Basin Initiative. This presentation, originally delayed due to a hurricane that fortunately bypassed us, promises to be enlightening. Tito's expertise on this subject is sure to attract additional guests to our meeting, thanks to Daven Michael's efforts and his social media following. Looking forward to seeing you all next week!
District Governor Marco Belen convened with our Board of Directors to discuss this year's objectives. Following the meeting, he delivered a presentation at our luncheon, expressing contentment with the Club's ongoing performance and discussing how we can harness the "magic of Rotary" to deliver heartfelt services to our community. He highlighted the critical need to maintain and grow our membership and expressed his pleasure in seeing our proactive approach to this aim, led by Rob Bolt, the head of the Membership Committee.
