NEXT WEEK:Guest Speaker, Mario Torres Zamora, President & Founder of Rescate Playas Borinquen Corp., will bring us up to date on the work being accomplished by the organization. We will meet in AFDA.
Please remember that some of our meetings are virtual and some are presential. Your participation is important in both, if possible. The virtual meetings give us the opportunities to get some speakers from abroad that could not participate otherwise. Also, some of our members that are residing outside of Puerto Rico can participate regularly. Please send me your comments.

was born at our Fort Brooke in Old San Juan, the son of Don Luis Otero Garcia, a veteran of World War II, Korea, and Viet Nam. His mother retired from the Department of Education Our speaker graduated from UPR in Mayaguez, obtaining a BS in Electrical Engineering. He relocated to the US where he worked with several aerospace companies as a computer test design engineer. The Kennedy Space Center, RCA, and Lockheed were on his path to working with Martin Marietta, all in Florida. Luis got his Master and Doctorate and after teaching in several universities in the US, he returned to Puerto Rico as a Professor at Inter-American University.
His talk, "Personnel and Productivity" covered pertinent subjects such as: Employee Productivity in business, in a university, in a call center, and a software development company, among others. To encourage employee participation, he stressed training, training & training. Thanks to Club Director, Armand Pique, for bringing us this most interesting speaker.
