Club Rotary Foundation Director, Past President John Richardson, gave a comprehensive program on the myriad humanitarian on-going projects of your Rotary Foundation, on the island and around the world. The Foundation's largest project has seen the immunization of 400 million against Polio each year. To aid in this program, Bill and Melinda Gates have pledged $400 million. Turning to the topic of Rotary Foundation Global Grants, he introduced Ms Adelisa Gonzalez, Executive Director of the Casa Cortes Foundation who graciously received a $25,000 District 7000 Grant from José M.(Pepito) Rivero President of our club to help in the work being done to educate and inspire young people through art and mental health programs, including peace and conflict resolutions, disease prevention and water sanitation. Pubic Image Club Director, Georganna Hildebrand has been extremely proactive in securing Global Grants for our District and Club. To sum up, we learned how the Rotary Foundation turns your Paul Harris contributions into life changing projects, through global and local community projects.
