Mr. Federico (Friedel) Stubbe, a Chairman of the Prisa Group of Companies, was our Guest Speaker last Tuesday. With degrees from the Georgia Institute of Technology and Harvard, he is presently Governor of the Urban Land Institute and past Chairman of the Board of Directors of Peninsula de Cantera Project, a government and private non-profit initiative to re-develop the largest remaining slum in San Juan. Mr. Stubbe also serves on many community Boards, such as Vice Chairman of the George Tech Advisory Board, the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, and Chairman of the Tasis Foundation (a K-12 educational institution, among others. Prisa is a family-owned, Puerto Rico based developer and builder of luxury hospitality projects with more than 500 employees and 6,000 units representing a value of over $3 billion. With over 30 years in business, their commitment to excellence drives them to explore and find new and efficient world-class projects. In an age of acceleration and massive social media, our speaker emphasized the four dimensions of human experience: Intellect (Truth), Esthetics (Beauty), Moral (Goodness), Spiritual (Unity), in harmony with Prisa's "Leap to a Better Life." Another fine program, thanks to our Past President Jorge Gonzalez. |
