Dear fellow Rotarians: I encourage all to join us at AFDA next August 2 for our weekly meeting. Our guest, Laura Cantero, Executive Director of Grupo Guayacán, will be sharing with us the work they are doing with our Entrepreneurs and the results they are experiencing. As part of the initiative of this year, we will be hosting one of their graduates every month. One of our areas of focus is Community Economic Development. Meeting this Entrepreneurs, their goals, and challenges, will provide us a broader scope of what is happening and what is needed. I certainly hope some of you will be inspired and become mentors or sounding boards for some of these great Entrepreneurs. Dates to keep in your calendars: August 16 – visit of DG Agustín Montañez. The meeting will be via zoom. September 8 – silent auction – more details soon. Our club is looking for warehouse space. If you happen to have some free space you can offer, please contact Carmen Hammel. The Board of Directors and I are counting with all your support and commitment to achieve our goals and take our club into the future. We are still looking for volunteers to join our five committees.
