Photos by: Antinéa Rivera y Gerry Cumpiano Last Week, our speaker, Ricardo Arzuaga, Executive Director, United Nations Association of the USA, PR Chapter, (UNA-USA), a program of the United Nations Foundation, gave an update on the Decade of Action (2021-2030) for the Sustainable Development Goals in Puerto Rico, with an emphasis on Rotary Peace Academy. Among the global goals for UNA-USA, are zero world hunger, the end of child early death, gender equality. clean water, light and electricity for all, reduction of inequalities and climate control. Introduced by Past President Attorney Jorge Gonzalez, we learned that Mr. Arzuaga has devoted his life to the United Nations. |
