Our speaker during last Tuesday's meeting, Julian Herencia, Executive Director of the Renewable Energy Producers, brought us up to date on today's proposed solutions for the problems concerning renewable energy. He reminds us that renewable energy brings stability, reliability and resiliency, being the cheapest source of energy. As a problem, he signaled to the long time that it takes for the permits to build a plant. However, there are several projects already approved to produce such energy and for its storage. Luis Polar also addressed those present, about a project called Verano Semilla (Seed Summer) which will last two weeks, to help the middle school children develop skills and leadership and will be held at Escuela Vila Mayo in Rio Piedras. Donations are accepted for this worthy project. Both speakers were to the liking of those present, full of information and hope for Puerto Rico. Hope to see you soon. Delia Colorado Vice President
