For the children of the Boys and Girls Clubs will take place on November 28th at the Las Nereida’s Ballroom of the La Concha Hotel from 9 am to 1 pm. San Juan Rotarians are encouraged to attend and help with the club sponsored activity that welcomes in the Holiday Season.
We heard from two members of the Statehood Revolutionary Movement (Movimiento Revolucion Estadista) ELVIN MENDEZ & ALFREDO ROMAN. The movement, a non-political, civil, inter-generational organization, whose mission is to educate and direct in an active form to reach the status of equality of rights with the true permanent union with the United States. Needless to say, this highly emotional topic, garnered a sizeable amount of audience participation.
The organization has formulated a Petition to the U.S. Congress to certify Puerto Rico as an incorporated territory of the U.S. Thanks to Rotarian Ricardo Betancourt for bringing us this thought-provoking program.
