Our president's initiative this year is to engage members more deeply in club programs and activities, which has proven successful. We seek your assistance in identifying potential speakers for the upcoming months. Should you have any recommendations, kindly inform me.
Next week, Michelle Crespo will present an intriguing interview and video featuring one of our members, whose identity will remain a surprise until the meeting. We invite you to join us on Tuesday for what promises to be an enjoyable time.
Enid Marie Reyes, one of our members, delivered a talk on the necessity of effective leadership in Puerto Rico, emphasizing the importance of transformational leadership that can bring about systemic change. The presentation sparked a conversation about this topic, which also touched upon the internal and external challenges faced by the San Juan Rotary. These discussions are particularly pertinent considering the upcoming elections for new leadership in both the Puerto Rico and San Juan Rotary, as well as our commitment to fostering leadership skills. Coincidentally, I had invited Enid at Jose Duarte’s residence to chair the youth services committee, an offer she has graciously accepted. Focusing on nurturing leadership qualities in our youth is set to become one of our key objectives.
