Dear Fellow Rotarians, For our weekly Meeting of Tuesday April 20 Ray Erb is preparing a Visual Open House using ZOOM. The hope is that we can have all our members present and that each one will invite a friend to join us. The plan is to showcase The San Juan Rotary Club our special ambience, more like a family than a club, and the wonderful work we do in our community. We will invite the District 7000 governor (Mercedes Peguero Moronta) and past Governors and, of course our own Juanita Morris and José (Pepito) Rivero and other dignitaries. We will paint a picture of our District 7000 and of our club, and welcome past members; some of whom will briefly describe their memories of their time in Rotary. We will describe a few of the important projects that we undertake for the benefit of our community like the Thanksgiving Dinner for underprivileged children, a Peace and Conflict project in a School in Yabucoa, our work after hurricane Maria and many more. We will also talk about our youth programs: Interact, Rotaract and RYLA. The goal is to entice new members who have a desire to give back to the community to join our club and help with all the good we do. We also want to remind past members about the joy of being a Rotarian and encourage them to return. We need everyone on board for this effort so please, please join in on April 20 and bring a friend. Thank you, Frank |
