President Frank Earle Message
Dear Fellow Rotarians,

The 24th 0f October is the day dedicated to the eradication of Polio worldwide.
In our meeting Tuesday, Georganna showed a wonderful video entitled “This Close”.
With the work of Rotary, The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and countless other organizations polio has all but been illuminated.
We are almost there but we need your help. We are asking our members to contribute to this effort and to that end, members that were present on Tuesday pledged $1,500 to this historic cause.
If anyone else of our membership,  who was unable to be present Tuesday, would like to help with this worthy cause, please send an email to Pat (rotaryclubofsanjuan@gmail.com) with your pledge and she will bill you for the amount.
Thank you one and all,

Frank

Guest speaker, MANUEL NATAL, candidate for Mayor of San Juan for the Movimiento Victoria Ciudadana Party, is a lawyer and a member of the House of Representatives of Puerto Rico.  He is currently an independent - previously associated with the PDP.  A graduate of Cornell University and UPR Law School, our speaker emphasized his commitment to social justice, economic development for all and government that works for the people, not for corporations.  His focus will be on better roads, public parks and attending to the many abandoned properties.  All for the people, not for political parties.  Thanks go to fellow Rotarian, Past President Sal Nolfo, who arranged for the speaker.
